Sam's Day

Post by Emerald on Fri Mar 18, 2011 11:16 pm

Sam sighed, following Jasper into Kitten's room. "Why is Serenity a shadow and a werewolf?"
The question was thrown at the raven haired male the second the door was shut.Jasper sighed.
"And pregnant."
"What?!" Sam shook his head. "Wow, just wow.....you've lost it completely Jasper. What happened? You usually have everything under control, and look at the mess you made."
Jasper scowled, not appreciating his younger cousin scolding him like he was a misfit teen.
"It was an accident, things got out of hand, I'm taking care of it now."
"And the kid?"
"Like fuck I'm letting anyone make me a father. She's not keeping it, and I don't care how I have to convince her."
Sam shook his head. It was a shame, but he knew Jasper would rather kill his own sister then be a father. Though if he thought he was going to convince Serenity so easily he was delirious. Well, Sam wasn't surprised.
"I need to go find Kitten. Just....whatever you do, try not to lose it, ok?"
"Ummm...."
Sam paused. "Umm? You already did?"
Jasper sighed. "Don't ask why the one hallway has a lot of blood in it..."
"THEN GO CLEAN IT THE FUCK UP!" Black eyes narrowed at the raven haired man as Sam snapped at him. Soon they were blinking as they bled back into blue. "I'm sorry....I....didn't mean to snap at you."
Jasper frowned. Sam was craving. He knew his cousin's signs. "Are you going to be ok?"
The blond nodded, frowning. "I'll be fine." His mood shifted from annoyed to deflated and depressed in mere seconds. Oh yeah, he was definitely craving.
He turned, opening the door and leaving the room, passing Serenity and the Johns as he made his way to the third floor.

Sam sighed, staring at the door before knocking on it and taking a small step back, in case Rein actually decided to come out.
Sarah looked at the door, hopping off the bed before Rein could say anything. "I'll get it!" She cheerfully skipped to the door and through it, standing in front of Sam.
When Sarah stepped out, Sam had to blink a few times. "Sarah?"
"Hi Sam! Merry Christmas...errr....sorta!" She smiled as Sam stared at her confused.
"What are you doing in there?"
"Oh! Since you and the others aren't having fun with Rein anymore I have him all to myself!" She giggled a little.
Sam blinked a few times more, then shook his head. This wasn't happening. "Is Kitten in there?"
Sarah frowned. "Why would she be?"
"Rein took her earlier and now I can't find her."
The blond girl pouted. "She's not here." With that, she turned, leaving Sam outside the door confused. As she stepped back in the room, she stomped her foot, pouting at Rein. "Why was Kitten up here?"
"Because I brought her up here."
"Why?"
"Because I wanted to."
She huffed, turning red. "Why?"
Rein sighed, looking at her. "That is no business of yours."
The blond girl stomped her foot again and went back to the bed, rearranging her stuffed animals once more.

Sam headed back downstairs, pulling out his gizmo. A few attempts at calling and texting the woman failed, and trying to track her the location of her cell or gizmo came up empty handed. Now he was getting worried. He went down to the lobby, going behind the desk and sitting there, playing with his gizmo.

As he sat at the desk, he tried to lock onto anything that would give him a lead to Kitten's whereabouts. A set of keys appeared in his hand suddenly. Where had these come from? As he read the tag, he brushed away the questions that came up about them and tossed them aside. He'd wonder later how Missy teleported keys into his hand. Right now, he needed to find Kitten.
After a few more minutes he closed the gizmo with frustration, standing up and snatching the keys back up from where he tossed them on the desk. He headed outside, looking for a hint of what the keys went to. After seeing the cover that corresponded with the tag on the keys, he went to the vehicle, pulling the cover off. Missy had got him this? He just barely kept himself from letting out a low whistle as he straddled the machine. Keys went into the ignition, and he prayed the thing went fast.
He revved the engine, the roar of the bike underneath him made him smile for a split second before his thoughts returned to the situation at hand. Find Kitten. Thank Missy later. Not wanting to deal with a helmet, he made sunglasses appear in his hand, putting them on to protect his eyes as he drove. He kicked the kickstand up, backed up a little, and sped off down the driveway and onto the road.

Sam sped down the road, keeping an eye out for any signs of her. Wait, what was that? He skidded to a stop, looking back at what he just passed. He had thought it was a dead animal at first but....Shit, it was her.
Sam turned and drove over to where she was, parking the bike on the side of the road and quickly getting off. Her clothes were torn as she lay like a discarded doll on the side of the road. Kneeling next to her, he frowned. He magic was nearly completely depleted.
"Kitten..." He nudged her slightly, sighing in relief as brown eyes opened to look at him.
"Sam...?" She winced a little.
"Hey, it's going to be ok. I've got you now." He went to put his arms under her to pick her up, stopping at her cry of pain. He frowned.
"Sam....it hurts....don't touch me." She whimpered weakly, the pain bad enough to bring tears to her eyes.
He tried teleporting her, frowning more as it failed. Sam pulled his hands back, grabbing his gizmo and sending out an alert. "It's alright, I'm going to get you home." Once the messages were out, he sat on the ground next to her. "Do you remember what happened?"
Kitten whimpered again. "I...remember I was with Arcadian....then....Rein's search ring came for me...and I woke up upstairs. And we talked...and I pissed him off and the room caught fire....and then I ran..." She tried shaking her head, yelping at the pain the action caused. "I remember running off the manor property, then....nothing. It's all a blur." Brown eyes looked to him again, tears streaming down her cheeks. "Sam....it hurts..."
Sam fought the urge to reach over and comfort her, picking his head up as he heard cars coming. A group of motorcycles and a black van.
"The kids are almost here, you'll be ok soon. I promise." As the motorcycles approached, Sam motioned to them to block the road. As the group split up to do so, the van parked, Tony and Jason getting out of it, as well as Kevin and Axel. Two healers on board? Good.
Sam stood up, meeting Tony before he got to them. "I don't know how to pick her up. I can't touch her without it hurting. Whoever got to her did a number on her."
Tony glanced over at Kitten and frowned. "Old fashion way I guess." He went to the van, coming back with a small brown bottle and a rag. Chloroform? Well, it works I guess.

Sam frowned. "May I?" Tony nodded, handing him the rag.
The blond went back over to Kitten. "Hey, we're gonna get you home soon, alright? Just close your eyes, I don't know if this will hurt or not." He lied, but only because he didn't want her to panic. He had no clue how whoever got to her knocked her out, but if it was a chloroform rag, she was defiantly going to panic if she saw one again.
As she closed her eyes, Sam placed the rag over her nose and mouth, the action causing her to inhale in surprise, which made it all the more easier. He removed the rag just as she lost consciousness, making sure she was out before picking her up and carrying her to the van. The ambulance style back was large enough for Axel ad Kevin to help Sam get Kitten settled in, the Sam sent the message out to the kids to come back. As the van doors closed and Tony restarted the engine, the kids surrounded the van to escort it back home.
"Damn, they did some hell to her." Kevin frowned as he checked her vitals, his father programming a medical gizmo to scan her for details of the damage. He let the metallic bug down, reading the results it was sending to the laptop that sat next to him. "A few good fractures, whoever did it wanted her not to move for a while. There's something in her system. I don't know what, but it multiplies and isn't just going to get out on it's own." He shook his head, watching the results as the came up.

Alex and Jean got the message, turning to head back towards the van, but not before Alex noticed the black car they had stopped while blocking traffic. As they headed towards the van, the car followed closely. There was a sudden 'pop' and the sound of hollow metal bouncing on the sidewalk. A gas can?
"Jean!" Alex shouted the warning as they swerved to the sides, the gas can exploding as they drove through the cloud it created. Alex coughed a little, the helmets they wore keeping most of the gas out. Alex tapped his helmet, turning on the communication system that linked with anyone else wearing a helmet.
"Jean, you ok?"
"Yeah, I'm fine."
"What's going on?" Rachel's voice carried over, listening to the conversation the two were having.
Alex cursed under his breath as the car behind them sped up, trying to hit the back of his bike. There was still a lot of space between them and the van, and Alex didn't want to put anyone else in danger....
"Alex! I can't teleport." Jean's distressed comment snapped him from his thoughts as he tried to teleport himself, failing to do so. Whatever the gas was, it succeeded in blocking their powers.
With a quick thought, the helmet's communication system was calling Sam's gizmo.

Sam listened as Axel told him what he found out so far, digging his gizmo out of his pocket as it vibrated. He flipped it open, putting it on speaker.
"Sam, we ran into the assholes. They gassed us, we can't use our powers."
"Shit, hold on." Sam told Alex, dialing Jame and Bianca, who were in a convertible not too far ahead of the van. As soon as the line picked up, he spoke. "Guys, need you to fall back. Alex and Jean are having a run in with the culprits. They're powerless."

James didn't say anything, just turned the communication system in the car off and slammed on the brakes, making the can go intangible as the others passed through them. He turned the wheel as he hit the brakes, slamming the car into reverse for a second to help it turn, the slammed it back into drive and hit the gas. The car went tangible again as they speed down the road, coming up on Alex and Jean fast, as well as on a collision course with the black car.
Alex and Jean sped up to meet the convertible, swerving to the sides at the last minute as Bianca ad James each outstretched a hand. Once Jean and Alex came in contact with the twins, The car and motorcycles, as well as all the drivers disappeared, mere seconds before colliding with the oncoming car.

Sam sighed, slipping his gizmo back into his pocket. "Go to the Manor."
"What?" Axel blinked, looking at the blond confused.
"We need her in the infirmary asap, and getting to Empire would take to long. Plus, I don't think we can get her through portals safely."
It was silent for a moment before Tony picked up the radio receiver, letting the others know. Another minute passed before the van followed the group of motorcycles on to the Manor's property.

Their was a bit of noise as the motorcycles approached the building, parking right in front, but leaving enough room for the van in the middle. The kids dismounted, Jean, Alex, James, and Bianca already parked by the side. They walked over to the motorcycles and talked briefly before they all headed inside. The van backed up between the motorcycles as they talked, the back doors right in front of the building.
None of the kids said anything as they headed inside. Alex and Jean sat down in the chairs in the lobby, Steven and Rachel headed upstairs and David and Rude descended, the two large men going out to the van. James and Bianca stood at the bottom of the stairs. Melissa, Rude's daughter, and Kitty, Kat's daughter, both stood halfway on the steps.
Sam sighed as Axel and Kevin opened the van doors. He made sure Kitten was still unconscious before picking her up, carefully carrying her out of the van. He sighed, closing the blanket that he had picked up under her around her, making sure no one inside would be able to see her clothes or any injuries. He wanted this to be as quick and unnoticed as possible, of course the massive security situation made it a little noticeable.
Axel and Kevin came in, standing in the lobby. Sam carried Kitten inside carefully, wrapped in a blanket, escorted by Rude, David, Jason, and Tony. The five males headed up the stairs slowly, no one saying a word, the others going back outside as Kitten was carried to the John's room. As the Johns' door closed, everyone except Sam headed out.

The Johns were waiting, already having one of the beds prepped. Sam carefully laid her down, unwrapping the blanket and taking a step back, letting the John's start their work. They carefully began trimming her tattered clothes away to examine her wounds. As they finally got the last bit of clothes off her, Sam's stomach felt like he swallowed a lead ball. He felt the bile rise in his throat, amazed that the John's could be so calm as he stumbled to the bathroom, just barely making it as he emptied the contents of his stomach into the toilet. He returned once he splashed cold water on his face, taking a deep breath to steady himself as he went back to the bed. Her lower body, from under her stomach to between her legs hand been nearly mangled, then put back together by a poor poor stitch job.
"What the hell did they do." Sam said, nearly bewildered as he fought back the nausea.
"My guess? Trying to stop her from reproducing. Probably has a sick twisted sense of self righteousness that they shouldn't kill us, just stop us from making any more like us...." His sentence was interrupted by a knock on the door. The younger twin glared at the door. "Don't let him in. Any massive amount of magic energy can send her body into panic."

As Sam left the room, the John's resumed their examination. The monitor started to beep, however, as the younger John looked at it. There was just too much magic here. The chemical in her blood stream sent her body into a seizure as it fought to destroy the magic that was flowing though her veins.
Both twins fought off panic, working quickly to stabilize her as well as lower their magic levels. "This isn't working..." The younger grabbed his brother's arm, draining his own magic into the older. "We need to be near mortal, our magic's going to kill her at this rate." Once the young John's magic was nearly depleted, the older John left the room, the lack of magic energy helping Kitten's body stabilize once more, though the seizure had caused a lot of the poorly done stitches to tear.
The older John returned, his magic depleted as well, as the two tried to recover from what just happened. Sam came back into the room, however, as the monitor started it's low beep once more.

Sam sat in bliss for a few minutes as the drugs cycled through his blood stream. He would be ok. He could deal better now.
After a couple more minutes he stood up, stretching a little and pulling out his cell. He needed to get Sarah away from Rein. There was only one way to do it.
After he talked to Jamie for a few minutes, the woman appeared in his room, storming out of it and towards the third floor. Sam followed, hoping his plan worked.

Sam waited at the bottom of the steps. He heard Jamie talking to Sarah and smiled. She was pulling a fake upset act? By the way Sarah started whining in return, he could tell it was working on the girl. He listened a little more, frowning when he couldn't make out the words. It sounded like Sarah was crying though.
A moment later, Jamie stormed down the stairs. Sam blinked. "Where's Sarah."
"He won't let her go."
His jaw dropped. "What? Wait, who are you calling?" He asked quickly as she flipped her phone open.
"That man just brought a war upon himself." She scowled an disappeared, leaving Sam baffled.
This wasn't happening. Rein wouldn't let Sarah go? He had to. He was inviting a mafia war to his doorstep, which happened to be inside the manor. If Sam didn't stop this, the manor was about to become a war zone.
He started to pace, breathing heavily, feeling the war inside himself start to brew. Everything just kept getting worse. Just kept.....
The hallway started to spin as he stumbled, his vision wavering. What the hell was that? Suddenly he screamed. It felt as if he was being torn out of his own skin, the pain pushing way past his pleasure tolerance as the room faded. What the hell was happening?
He suddenly stumbled, his vision no longer black as he looked around. How had he gotten to Tattoo's study......he retched; Tattoo. Jamie was calling him. Sarah's father. As he fought beck the urge to vomit, he looked up, seeing not only Tattoo, but also Big Daddy. Tattoo held a silver flute to his lips which he lowered, smiling.
"Glad you could join us Sam." He slowly twirled the flute between his fingers. "A little bird told me something I wasn't to happy with hearing."
Sam caught his breath finally, going to take a step forward before hitting a barrier. What the? He looked down at the summoning circle he stood in. How had Tattoo learned to summon him? "How did you get me here?"
Tattoo frowned as he stopped twirling the flute. "Sam, I collect a lot of things from all around the world. I've been looking for this a long long time." He motioned to the flute as he spoke.
"It can summon shadows?"
"It can summon gods." The sick humor in his tone nearly had Sam retching again. He didn't know there was anything in existence that could summon gods. "I can step into the circle, but you can't step out. Now, about Sarah." His tone went deadly. "You better find a way to get her free, or not only will Rein be killed, but I will keep you as my slave. Do you understand?"
Sam snarled. "How dare you threaten me."
"How dare you let our daughter get in harms way while under your watch!" Big Daddy roared, cat like eyes staring at Sam as the male snarled.
"I wasn't even at the Manor when all of this happened..."
Big Daddy's hand shot out, grasping Sam bu the throat, clawing digging deep into his neck. "It is your Manor. Not only that, but we put our lives, our families, into your hands. It is your job to protect and watch over out daughters."
Sam grasped at the hand, trying to get free of it. He didn't need to breath, given, but he didn't want his head separated from his body either, and if Thomas keep gripping harder, that's what would happen.
Thomas finally dropped him. "Fix this, Shadow God, or you won't like the consequences." Sam heard a flute, and suddenly everything went black once more.
